Julius Poko Lewis

Julius Poko Lewis, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his  residence. Mr. Lewis was born March 3, 1926  in Warren County, to the late Millard and Maude Glasscock Lewis.  He was a WWII Naval Veteran, was a  member of the Methodist faith. Poko was a retired Chief Inspector for Holley Carburetor, and loved farming and fishing.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Julius Poko Lewis is survived by his wife of 68 years of marriage Ollie McCoy Lewis of Morgantown; 1 sister-in-law Beverly Lewis of Bowling Green; 1 brother-in-law Waylon McCoy of Morgantown; 1 nephew David Lewis of Elizabethtown, Ky.; 1 great-nephew George Lewis of Elizabethtown; several more nieces and nephews and a host of friends.    

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Bill Cook officiating . Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, January  29, 2014 from 2:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
