Judy Ann Key
Judy Ann Key, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 66, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Born on December 23, 1959, in Russellville, KY, Judy's zest for life and compassionate spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Judy’s journey through life was guided by family, a cherished value she held dear until her last moments. She is survived by her devoted husband, Danny P. Key of Morgantown, KY, their children, Tracy Flesner (Alan) of Morgantown, KY, Danielle West (Donald Miller) also of Morgantown, KY, Darnelle Flener (Mike) of Muhlenberg Co., KY, Michael Belcher of Morgantown, KY, and Danny Paul Key II (Stacy Gaskey) of Morgantown, KY. Judy's legacy continues through her nine grandchildren: Austin, Mathew, Marcus and Demitri West, Kerry Fulkerson, Starr Proctor (Drew), Owen and Reed Key, and Elijah Phelps; and her 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving mother, Barbara Anderson Bratton of Auburn, KY; two sisters, Linda Perkins and Wanda Bratton; and her brothers, Kevin, Michael, Gerald, and Gary Bratton. Judy will be joining in spirit her father, James Bratton, sister, Shelia Basham, brother, Kelly Bratton, and great-grandson, Waylen Proctor, who all preceded her in death.
Judy dedicated many years as a cook with the Butler County School System. Her nurturing nature found solace in the kitchen, not only at work but also at home, where she was the heart and hearth for all family gatherings. Beyond her work life, Judy was a passionate fan of U.K. Basketball, often seen cheering with unbridled enthusiasm, her spirit contagious to all around her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kenny Chyle officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, KY. Visitation will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
