Joyce Embry West, age 80 of Louisville, KY passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her residence. Joyce was born Friday, April 10, 1942 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Hesbie and Helen Tomes Embry and wife of the late Shirley Wayne West. She was a member of Valley Station Church of Christ and a homemaker. Joyce enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and her flowers but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sisters Betty Brown and Judy Longhenry and one brother Jerry Embry. 

Joyce Embry West is survived by four sons Anthony West of Louisville, KY, Alan West (Veronica) of Shepherdsville, KY, Winston West (Jennifer) of Georgetown, Indiana and Wesley West of New Albany, Indiana; six grandchildren Samantha Childs (Jake) of Shepherdsville, KY, Amanda Verrick (Justin) of Charleston, Indiana, Allyson Calvert (Cameron) of Shepherdsville, KY, Dean West (Stephanie) of Pittsburgh, PA, William and Jackson West of New Albany, Indiana; five great grandchildren Shiley and Tulsey Childs of Shepherdsville, KY, Layla Childs of Phoenix, Arizona and Anna Lynn and Raylan Calvert of Shepherdsville, KY; three sisters Beulah Jenkins, Rennie Bryant and Reba West all of Morgantown, KY; two sister in laws Lucille Kitchens and Joy Baldwin both of Morgantown, KY; two brother in laws Thomas Brown of Morgantown, KY and David Longhenry of LasVegas, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00am with Bro. Kevin Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Home Cemetery where her four sons Anthony, Alan, Winston and Wesley West and her three grandsons William, Jackson and Dean West will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
