Joseph Michael "Joe" Snodgrass

Joseph Michael "Joe" Snodgrass, age 72 of Morgantown, KY passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home surrounded by those that love him so much. Joe was born on Tuesday November 13, 1951 in Morgantown, KY to the union of the late Orval and Virginia Jo Crawford Snodgrass. Joe retired from ADM after working on the river for 43 years as a towboat captain. Being a captain on the river wasn't easy but it was a job that allowed his wife, Helen Pendley Snodgrass to stay home and be there for their children everyday and that's exactly what he wanted. During retirement, Joe enjoyed staying home and spending time with his family. He was an exceptional and strong willed person, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Joe was a loyal University of Kentucky Men's Basketball fan and always enjoyed watching and coaching the Cats from his couch or from the sidelines when he attended games. He was a member and attended Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one brother in law Jimmy Goodley and one sister in law Rhonda Snodgrass. Please know that the story of Joe has not ended, only his life on this earth. The impact of his life on his family will live on here, while his life eternal is now.

Joseph Michael "Joe" Snodgrass is survived by his wife of 53 years Helen Snodgrass of Morgantown, KY; two daughters Michelle McKee (Darrell)  and Melissa Iler (Mike) both of Morgantown, KY; one son Michael Joseph Snodgrass (Holly) of Morgantown, KY; four grandchildren Destiny Michelle Decker (Joey) of Brownsville, KY, Mikayla Patterson (Shane) of Morgantown, KY, Degan Joe Snodgrass and Bristol Snodgrass of Morgantown, KY; two great grandchildren Hunter and Emma Decker of Brownsville, KY; two step granddaughters Rylee McKee Peterson (Ben) of Bowling Green, KY and Avery McKee of Morgantown, KY; two sisters Judy Goodley and Kay Hartlerode (Earl) of Morgantown, KY; two brothers Arthur Snodgrass of Morgantown, KY and Leslie "Pete" Snodgrass (Penny) of Memphis, IN and several nieces and nephews.
