Joseph J. "Jack" Knight

Joseph J. "Jack" Knight, 70 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his residence. Jack was born April 1, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Charles and Eloise King Knight. He was a MP in the Army and Vietnam Veteran, Past Commander of Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post 5837 and Quarter Master of American Legion Post 151. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers King and Robert Knight . The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern Ky. for their help and support. "Jack" Knight is survived by his wife Lynda Knight of Morgantown, Ky.; 4 daughters Kamala Jo Embry and husband Joe of Beaver Dam, Ky., Melissa Lynn Lindsey of Morgantown, Ky., Heather Ann Martin and husband Randal of Morgantown, Ky. and Dawn Tomes of Morgantown, Ky.; grandchildren Ryan Lindsey of Morgantown, Ky., Kasady Embry and fiancé David of Beaver Dam, Ky.,  Zakary Embry of Beaver Dam, Ky., Peyton Bratcher of Morgantown, Ky., Hannah Tomes of Morgantown, Ky., Lydia Bratcher of Morgantown, Ky., Lilly Martin of Morgantown, Ky., Jackson Embry of Beaver Dam, Ky., Ellie Martin of Morgantown, Ky. and Jax Turner of Morgantown, Ky.; 2 great grandchildren Ava Reece Lindsey of Morgantown, Ky. and Loralei Stevens of Beaver Dam, Ky.; mother in law Catherine Duncan of Louisville, Ky.; 2 brothers Rayburn Knight and wife Allene of Louisville, Ky. and Bill Knight and wife Mary Ches of Naperville, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 10:00 am with Bro. Roger Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery where military rights will be presented by AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 12:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday 8:00 am until funeral time at 10:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
