Joseph Earl "Bill" Ellis, 92 of Morgantown, KY passed away Sunday September 12, 2021 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Bill was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1928 in Woodbury, Kentucky to the late Alford Roscoe and Sabie Sublett Ellis and husband of the late Matelene "Matt" Ellis. He was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church, World War II Army Veteran and he retired from Madusa Rock Quarry in Dundee, KY. Bill loved all the trucks he owned over the years, enjoyed being around people, talking and trading. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one sister Margaret Elizabeth Lasley.

Joseph Earl "Bill" Ellis is survived by one daughter Marsha Lynn Ellis Forshee (Jim) of Bowling Green, KY; two sons Joseph Earl "Jody" Ellis Jr. (Ann) of Morgantown, KY and Ricky Ellis (Lisa) of Morgantown, KY; four grandchildren Greg Ellis (Melissa) of Scottsville, KY, Teena Raines (James) of McHenry, KY, Rich Ellis (Alicia) of Morgantown, KY and Stacey Newton (Steve) of Caneyville, KY; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great- great grandchildren; twin sister Earlene Farris of Morgantown, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 12:30 pm with Bro. Chris Vaught officiating. Burial will be held in the Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday 8:00am until funeral time at 12:30 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
