Johnny Darrell Hatcher, age 75, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on Sept. 1, 1946 to the late Jewell and Catherine House Hatcher. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Holley Carburetors after 40 years. Darrell was an avid UK fan and enjoyed watching westerns. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Juanita Smith Hatcher; brothers David, Donald (Opal), Jerry (Barbara) and Charles Hatcher.

Darrell is survived by his children Carolyn Engler and Joey Daugherty (Temple) of Morgantown and Annette Morgan of Hartford; 7 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister Connie S. Embry (Larry “Cotton”); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins; sisters-in-law Barbara Hatcher and Earline Hatcher.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at 1:00pm with Bro. John Cashion officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery. Military Honors will be presented by the Ohio Co. Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 14 from 2:30pm until 8:00pm and Monday from 8:00am until time of service.
