Johnny Claud Hammers, 76, of Bulls Gap, TN passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Lifecare Center in Greeneville, TN. He was born in Quality, Ky. on Aug. 17, 1945. Johnny was a Security Guard at Home Crest in Clinton, TN. Johnny’s hobbies included working on cars, cb radio’s, computers and tv’s. He also enjoyed playing guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents Ustus and Leona Fortner Hammers; son Paul Rhea; grandchildren Nicholas and Jeffery Hammers; great grandchild Ryan Stevens.

Johnny is survived by his sons Johnny Hammers (Kris)of KY, Rodney Hammers of KY, Matthew Hammers of TN and William Rhea (Brandy) of TN; daughters Laura Bales (Aaron) of TX, Christina Myers (Steve) of TN and Donna Rhea of TN; 18 grandkids; 14 great grandkids and several other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 at 12pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Foster officiating. Burial will be held in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021 from 4pm-8pm and on Wednesday from 10am until time of service all at Smith Funeral Home.
