Johnny Barnes

Johnny Barnes, 75 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at his residence. Johnny was born June 26, 1941, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Theodore and Elsie Sweatt Barnes. He was a member of Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and retired factory worker. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Brian Wayne Barnes.
Johnny Barnes is survived by his loving wife, Marie Embry Barnes of Morgantown, Ky.; one daughter Sherry Waters and husband Kevin of Evansville, IN; two sisters Phyllis McKinney and husband Jimmie of Morgantown, Ky. and Joyce Burden and husband Ronnie of Morgantown, Ky.; five grandchildren Brooke McAtee, Misty Waters, Jacob Waters, Nevaeh Kirby and Nevada Kirby; two great-grandchildren Bella and Demi McAtee; five step children Charity Embry of Morgantown, Ky., Dawn Worth of Bowling Green, Ky., Scott Embry and wife Leah of Joelton TN, Richard Worth of Morgantown, Ky. and James Embry of Owensboro, Ky.; 14 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchildren; two nieces Debbie Hudnall and Tammy Alford and husband Mark of Morgantown, Ky. and one nephew Wesley Burden of Morgantown, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, September 15, 2016, at 11:00 am with Bro. Mike Nagel and Bro. Murl Gray officiating.
Burial will be in the Isaiah Evans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday 8:00 am until funeral time at 11:00 am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
