John Rodger Shepherd, 62, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Sunday, Nov.25, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on July 18, 1956. He was a member of Bowling Green Praise and Worship Church and an equipment operator at Real Alloy. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and taking care of his grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his father Charles Shepherd and two grandchildren Skylar Shepherd and Jayden Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife Melody Shepherd of Morgantown; children James Shepherd (Carolyn), Brandy Neighbors, Nathan Shepherd (Jade) all of Morgantown, Sylvia Childress (Josh) of Brownsville, Tammy Deweese (Lee), Billy Embry (Robin) both of Morgantown and Edward Risinger (Krista) of Louisville; mother Dorothy Embry of Morgantown; 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters Alicia Phelps (Donald Jr.) of Morgantown and Debbie Shepherd of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Howard Jr. and Bro. Carl Fishburn officiating. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 3pm until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
