Joffery Embry, age 74 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Joffery was born on Sunday, January 8, 1950 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Almer B. and Verlene Willis Embry. He was a member of Mt Pleasant Church of Christ, retired maintenance electrician and a former Butler County Board of Education Board Member. Joffery enjoyed spending time with his wife Darlene and taking care of his cattle, dogs and horses. He loved going to church and spending time with his family. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Sharlet Overweeser. 

Joffery Embry is survived by his wife of 47 years Darlene Embry of Morgantown, KY; six siblings Alice Fay Georgieff of Portland, OR, Margaret Embry of Bowling Green, KY, Gary B. Embry (Mary) of Morgantown, KY, Barry G. Embry (JoAnna) of Bowling Green, KY, Timothy Embry (Sheila) of Morgantown, KY and Kimber Embry of Morgantown, KY and many nieces and nephews, all of whom had a special place in his heart. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, February 5, 2024 at 1:00pm with Bro. Tom Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Lumbustown Cemetery where Gary, Barry, Timothy and Kimber Embry and Dillon Swift will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00pm and  Monday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
