JoAnn Oakes, 78 of Bowling Green Ky.,passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky., JoAnn was born on Saturday, September 4, 1937 in Hopkins Co. Ky., to the late Ben and Rosie Hancock Campbell. She was a retired seamstress. Other than her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by one son Ricky Joe Jones and several brothers.

JoAnn Oakes is survived by her husband Jerry Oakes of Bowling Green, Ky., one son Larry Jones of Morgantown, Ky., one granddaughter Christal Darlene Benton of Madisonville, Ky., and one brother Ben Campbell of Dawson Springs, Ky.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs Ky., with Bro. Bobby McKnight officiating under the direction of the Jones Funeral Chapel.
