Jimmy D. Amos

Jimmy D. Amos, 73 of Frenchburg, Ky. passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at his residence. Jimmy was born December 28, 1941 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Estil and Ellin Keown Amos. He was a United States Army Veteran and a construction foreman. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Victoria Amos, two sons Robert and Gregory Amos and one sister Stella Amos.
Jimmy D. Amos is survived by his wife Cathy Amos of Frenchburg, Ky.; two sons Jeffrey and Preston Amos both of Frenchburg, Ky.; one daughter Cindy Amos of Odom, Georgia; one step daughter Paula Johnson husband Raymond Edward of Frenchburg, Ky.; three granddaughters Carla Dean husband Jamie of Brunswick, Georgia, Adrianna Amos of Frenchburg, Ky. and Nicole Johnson of Frenchburg, Ky.; two grandsons Jeffrey D. Amos Jr. of Columbus, Ohio and Christopher Johnson of Frenchburg, Ky.; 4 great grandchildren; five sisters Ida Lindsey and husband Morise of Morgantown, Ky., Sheila Amos Clopton of Louisville, Ky., Kathy Skaggs of Louisville, Ky., Pat Prestigiacomo of Louisville, Ky. and Marcia Scott of Bowling Green, Ky.; six brothers W.B. "Bill" Amos and wife Cheryl of Morgantown, Ky., James Amos wife Shirley of Morgantown, Ky., Rubin Amos wife Karen Sue of Columbus, Ohio, Larry Amos of Russellville, Ky., Terry Amos wife Darla of Morgantown, Ky. and Darrell Amos and wife Linda of Morgantown, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at 2:00pm with Bro. Gary Embry officiating. Burial will be in the Minton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5-8 pm and Wednesday Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
