Jewell Garrison, 87 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away at her daughter's residence in Bowling Green, Ky. Wednesday July 31, 2013. Jewell was born March 22, 1926 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Walter and Effie Lindsey Forsythe. She was the wife of the late Murray Garrison for 54 years and a member of Morgantown Church of Christ. She and her husband Murray opened a family business Garrison's in 1957 and continues to be run by their son Walter. Also preceded in death by two brothers Jesse and Ben Justice "Duck" Forsythe. Jewell Garrison is survived by 3 daughters Jane McCoy husband Wilbur of Bowling Green, Ky., Derotha Gardner of Elizabethtown, Ky. and Rosemary Garrison of Bowling Green, Ky.; son Walter Garrison of Morgantown, Ky.; grandson Chris Gardner wife Leah of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two great grandchildren Rebecca Jewell Gardner and Ben Gardner both of Elizabethtown, Ky. and several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday August 3, 2013 at 1:00pm with Bro. David Dymacek officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
