Jerry E. Flener, 87 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Jerry was born April 4, 1932 in Brooklyn, KY to the late Rheed and Iva Lee Flener. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of the VFW and NRA. Jerry retired from Ingram Trucking, was former police officer and detective in Stanton California and former police officer for the Morgantown City Police. Jerry loved watching NASCAR races. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by 4 brothers Gavin, Dause, Tilford and James Flener.

Jerry E. Flener is survived by his loving wife of 21 years Carole Flener of Morgantown, KY; one daughter Shannon Cantu (Adan) of Morgantown, KY; two sons Steve Flener (Karen) of Cadiz, KY and Tony Flener (Shelia) of Morgantown, KY; one step son Robert Bell (Ilona) of Clarksville, TN; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 2:00pm . Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the Ohio County AM Vets Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Frida, April 19, 2019 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00 am until funeral time at 2:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
