Jennie Lou Penley, age 86 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Morgantown Care & Rehab. Jennie was born on Tuesday, July 21, 1936 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Berdie and Dona Woosley Goodwin. She was of the Baptist Faith and she retired from Kanes Manufacturing in Morgantown, KY. Jennie loved to dance, travel, socialize  and making people laugh. She was a very strong willed woman who never give up. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by one sister Reattia Health; three brothers Veldon, Ralph and Raymond Goodwin; one grandson Nicholas Parrish and one son in law Clyde DeWeese. What a blessing it was that her granddaughter Laraeshia worked at Morgantown Care & Rehab, she was able to go above and beyond to give her the extra love and care she needed.

Jennie Lou Penley is survived by two daughters Bonnie DeWeese of Roundhill, KY and Tammy Childres (Dean) of Morgantown, KY; three sons Floyd Parrish, Greg Parrish (Becky) Doug Parrish all of Roundhill, KY; grandchildren Jeremy C. DeWeese, Jennifer Jones, Misty Embry, Delanah Richie, Brandie Parrish Lawrence, Laraeshia Childres, Dakota Childres; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial will be held at the DeWeese Family Cemetery on Region Road on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 2:00pm with Bro. Tony Embry officiating. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons Chad DeWeese and Dakota Childres, great grandsons Jake Jones, Zach Embry, Ethan Lawrence and Landon Phelps. Anyone wanting to go in procession to the DeWeese Family Cemetery is welcome to meet at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, August 5, 2022 at 1:20pm.
