JC Lindsey

JC Lindsey, 75 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown. Mr. Lindsey was born September 18, 1938 in the White Ridge Community in Butler County, to the late Huey and Detsel Cockriel Lindsey. He retired from truck driving after many years, was a ferry operator, and road crew worker for Butler County Fiscal Court.  He was preceded in death by his wife Valda Jean Howard Lindsey; three sisters; Elsiemae Lindsey, Anita Rae Beasley and Naoma Sue L. Skillern; two brothers W.L. Lindsey and Stanley Earl Lindsey.

JC Lindsey is survived by his three sons: Billy J. Lindsey of Morgantown, Elliot Ray Lindsey and wife Judy of Brooksville, Phillip Clay Lindsey and wife Pat of Morgantown.; Three daughters Denesia Morris and husband Troy of Louisville; Derenia Mae Hatcher and husband Kevin of Morgantown, Theresa Kaye Cardwell and husband John Stephen of Hopkinsville; Four grandchildren: Nichole Allen and Husband David of Scottsville, Jennifer Lindsey of Lexington,
James Elliot Lindsey of Morgantown, Lindsey Blake and husband Jordan of Lexington; One great-grandchild Darrian Lindsey; and sister Ruby Raymer of Louisville.      

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro: Pete Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2014 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
