Janice Ruth Phelps, 75 of Bowling Green, KY formerly of Morgantown, KY, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. Janice was born July 22, 1943 in Dimple, Kentucky, to the late Broda Benzoyia House and Amy Ruth Gidcumb Elder and wife of the late Gerald Phelps. She was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and the DAR. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two sons Andrew and Anthony Phelps; one grandson Bo Phelps and one brother Phillip House.

Janice Ruth Phelps is survived by one son Morgan Phelps and wife Carol of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren Laura Phelps (Johnathan) of Bowling Green, KY, Nick Hayden (Samantha) of Rockport, Indiana and Trevor McGill of Bowling Green, KY; one great grandchild Theodore Reed Hayden of Rockport, Indiana; one brother Kenneth House and wife Cheryl of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 12:00pm with Bro. Derek Cain officiating. Burial will be in the Jimmy Smith Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 5:30pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday from 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
