James Talemage "Jimmy" Hampton

James Talemage "Jimmy" Hampton, age 87 of Logansport, KY passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at his residence. Jimmy was born on Thursday, June 18, 1936 in the Logansport Community in Butler County, KY to the union of the late Lon and Ruby French Hampton. He was a United States Army Veteran, retired truck driver and a Lifetime member of the VFW. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching NASCAR, truck driving, jig saw puzzles and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Diana Leigh Hampton and brother in law Jimmy Willis. 

 

James Talemage "Jimmy" Hampton is survived by one daughter Connie Hatcher (Bradley) of Logansport, KY; one son Mark Hampton (Tiffany) of Logansport, KY; five grandchildren Ethan Hatcher (Kenzie) of Logansport, KY, Jessica Willoughby of Morgantown, KY, Macauley Hampton, Tucker Hampton and Talon Hampton all of Logansport, KY; two great grandchildren Aria and Audra Willoughby of Morgantown, KY; one sister Janice Willis of Morgantown, KY; two brothers Freddie Hampton (Shirley) of Logansport, KY and Steve Hampton (Jan) of Logansport, KY and several nieces and nephews. 

 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 1:00pm with Bro. T J Howard and Freddie Hampton officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the Ohio Co AM VETS and Matthew Hampton, Cameron Hampton, Bradley Hatcher, Ethan Hatcher, Macauley Hampton and Tucker Hampton will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Wednesday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
