James H. Lathery, 67, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Lexington, Ky. on August 10, 1951 to the late Hershel and Juanita Goforth Cook. He loved to fish, appreciated good food, enjoyed riding trains and collected several model trains over the years. He had a love for music, really enjoyed a good sound system and a good concert. James is preceded in death by his parents and son Jacob Lathery.

He is survived by his wife Glenda Lathery; daughter Carey Cole (Billy); grandchildren Seth and Keeley Cole; sisters Pauletta Vest and April Lathery; many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, sisters in law and brothers in law.

No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
