James Estill Embry

James Estill Embry, 83, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Thursday December 6, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. James was born April 1, 1935 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Costello and Floy Belle Embry. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of Oak Ridge General Baptist where he served as a Deacon and on the Oak Ridge Christian Academy School Board. James was a member of the 5th District Volunteer Fire Department and served on the 5th District Fire Dept. Board.  He was a  farmer and member of the Masonic Lodge. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one aunt, Emogene Swift. 

James Estill Embry is survived by his loving wife of 58 years-Nova Allean Pharris Embry of Morgantown, KY; two sons-Jeffrey Embry of Morgantown, KY and Johnny Embry and wife Kim of Morgantown, KY; one grandson-Jake Embry of Morgantown, KY; two granddaughters-Susan Fowler and husband Casey of Morgantown, KY and Courtney Embry of Morgantown, KY; five great-granddaughters-Makinna, Jalyn, Jordyn and Gracie Embry and Bailee Fowler; one great grandson-Jaxon Fowler and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Jewel Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge General Baptist Church.
