James Edward "Fuzz" Goodwin

James Edward “Fuzz” Goodwin, 73, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in Sugar Grove, Ky. on Feb. 23, 1948 to the late William Ed and Mary Jane Harlan Goodwin.  He was a member of Richland Baptist Church and was a mechanic at Shipp Implement for many years.  He also worked at Southern States in Morgantown for several years.  He collected John Deere memorabilia and enjoyed fishing.  He is preceded in death by his parents; son Jason Edward Goodwin; brother Richard Lynn Goodwin and sister Linda Erline Goodwin Pruitt.

Fuzz is survived by his wife Helen Cowan Goodwin; children James Ray Goodwin, Melanie Goodwin and Jordon Goodwin (Faryn); stepchildren John Dossett (Sally) and Gary Dossett (Nancy); grandchildren Sierra, Shelby, Hunter, Morgan, Jake, Elijah, Rozlyn; great grandchild Haygen; brothers Elbert Goodwin and Bennie Goodwin (Jeanne); sister Barbara Roberts (Charles); several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 1pm at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Hatcher officiating.  Burial will follow in the Tuck Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 9 from 4pm to 8pm and Saturday from 10am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
