James Edward "Butch" Burden, age 65 of Morgantown, KY passed away Tuesday the 14th day of March 2023 at his residence. Butch was born on Thursday the 26th day of February 1958 in Butler County, Kentucky to the union of the late William Edward and Sylvia Willis Burden and husband of the late Betty Johnson Burden. Butch was of the Baptist faith and he worked for HC Taylor Farms and Bryant/Evans Farms for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, traveling around KY and dirt track racing. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by his baby sister.

James Edward "Butch" Burden is survived by one sister Juanita Burden of Morgantown, KY; uncle Millard Burden wife Sandy of Morgantown, KY and several nieces, nephews and community friends. 

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, March 20, 2023 at 2:00pm with Bro. Randall Deweese officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Home Cemetery with Wayne Embry, Chris Embry, Dillon Bryant, Darrell Henkle, Steve Evans, Jr. Kelly, Brent Evans and Jonathan Deweese serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 10:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
