James "David" Woosley

James “David” Woosley, age 57, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 4, 2020) at his residence.

He was born on February 2, 1963, in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late James “Jimmie” and Pauline (Woosley) Woosley.

He was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, and trapshooting. He was a member of the Jesus First Apostolic Church and attended at the Caneyville Church of God of Prophecy.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Webster Woosley, two stepsons, Carlos Mont Webster (Becky Belcher) and Daniel Webster (Jennifer) of Butler County, KY; four grandchildren, Silas Webster, Afton, Reagan, and Kimber Webster; and one god-son, Aaron Martin.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Elizabeth Woosley, and Zero and Maggie Woosley.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (July 9, 2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Brother Delbert Dockery and Sister Lyresa Ashley will be officiating. Burial will be in the Curtis Woosley Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses or to the family to assist with final expenses.
