James Christopher Holman "Chris"

James Christopher Holman "Chris", 44, of  Provo, Ky., passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at his residence.  He was born in Bowling Green, Ky. on Jan. 6, 1973.  He was a member of Monticello Baptist Church and attended Southeast Christian Church in Louisville.  Chris was a Butler Co. High School graduate and went on to further his education at the University of Kentucky where he earned a degree in economics and was a member of the AGR Fraternity, he also received a MBA from Western Kentucky University.  He attended specialized Ag Lending Schools at Clemson University and the University of Tennessee at Martin.  He was an Agricultural Lending Officer with Morgantown Bank and Trust.  He loved his family, farming, taking care of his cattle and UK basketball.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Bernice Holman, Cecil and Ruby Wilson; uncles Gordon Holman, Darrell Wilson and David Wilson;  aunt Deloris Wilson.

Chris is survived by his wife Julia Ranee Holman of Bowling Green; son Jackson Christopher Holman of Bowling Green; daughter Jessilyn Laitney Huguenot of Bowling Green; parents Jim and Melba Holman of Provo; sisters Connie Greathouse (Ricky) of Provo and Tracy Morrison (Dave) of Bowling Green; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Monticello Baptist Church on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 am with Bro. Randy Burns officiating.  Burial will follow in the Doolin Rone Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 3-8pm and Friday 8-10am at Smith Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Doolin Rone Cemetery.
