James Cecil Dossey, 74, of Morgantown, Ky, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at his residence. James was born November 26, 1945 in Brownsville, Ky to the union of the late Cecil and Helen Pearl Parsley Dossey. He was retired from Kellwood, a retired U.S. Army veteran and member of the American Legion. James loved U.K. basketball, golfing, dove and duck hunting.

James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janice Martin Dossey, of Morgantown, Ky, three daughters; Heather Browning (Brian) of Brownsville, Ky, Jamie Elms (Jamey) of Tipp City, OH and Tiffany Keown (Jon), of Morgantown, Ky, seven grandchildren; Tori Mudd (Jordan) of Leitchfield, KY, Chaney and Chandler Browning, of Brownsville, Ky, Alexis Crump (Michael) of Greenville, Ky, Brinley and Emery Keown of Morgantown, Ky, Audrey and Rylan Elms, of Tipp City, OH. one greatgrandchild, Everly Crump, of Greenville, Ky, one sister, Loraine Blanton (Lloyd) of Brownsville, Ky, one brother, Carey Dossey (Linda) of Leitchfield, Ky, and several nieces and nephews.

 Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Nick Greenman officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Haven Memory Garden where the Kentucky National Guard and Ohio Co. Honor Guard will conduct military honors. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2020, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel and on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
