James Calbert Saunders

James Calbert Saunders, 57, of Morgantown, KY, went home to be with the lord, Friday, September 29, 2017, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY. Jimmy was born December 20, 1959, in ST. Louis, MO to the late Calber Wilson and Vesma Moreen Coots Saunders. Other than his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Sanders, one sister Sandy Colter, one nephew, Jason Colter and a sister-in-law, Debbie Merrill Saunders.
Jimmy was a Christian man and a loving dad who found tremendous comfort and peace with his daughters and reading the bible. Jimmy was a retired auto-technician for Roy Phelps Ford, Jimmy was a proud veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1985. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed being outdoors. he was a member of the VFW post 5837 and was an active member of the NWTF until he became homebound.
Jimmy is survived by the mother of his children, Doreen (Tinker Johnson) Saunders, of Morgantown, KY, His five Daughters; Jamie Saunders, of Provo, KY, Alicia Moreen Saunders, of Lexington, KY, Jasmine, Sierra and Hannah Saunders, all of Morgantown, KY. His Brothers; Daniel Saunders, of Morgantown, KY, Bobby Saunders, of Morgantown, KY, and Richard Saunders, of Logansport, KY, several nieces and nephews, a great-nephew, Gabriel Sublett, his patient live in caregiver, Tiffany Bryant and Ricky Johnson, his friend.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 3:00 PM at Belmont General Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Embry Officiating.
