James Anthony Dudgeon

James Anthony Dudgeon, age 65 of Kingswood, KY died Friday, July 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on January 4, 1954, the son of the late Fred and Mildred Ruth Stevenson Dudgeon. James was a retired pipeline construction superintendent. He was a logger and truck driver. James was the owner of Dudgeon Farms. He enjoyed working on antique tractors and cars, playing pool and riding around the community in his golf cart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his foster parents Murray, Sr. and Freda Stevenson, sister Patricia and brothers Larry, Roy, David "Fonz", Franklin and Gary.

He is survived by his wife Mary Key Dudgeon of Kingswood, KY
3 daughters - Deanna Russ (Barry) of Morgantown, KY
Dana Hardin (Mike) of Kingswood, KY
Debra Moore (Chris) of Axtel, KY
8 grandchildren: Vanessa Hale, Felicia Burden, Tristen and Anna Hardin, Leesa Russ, Madilyn, Charisma and Christopher James Moore
1 great granddaughter: Naomi Burden
1 brother: Jerry Dudgeon (Cindy) of Illinois
foster brother: Murray Stevenson, Jr (Barbara) of Hudson, KY
2 sisters: Mary Lou Rose of McDaniels, KY and Betty Ann Hardesty of Brandenburg, KY
2 foster sisters: Brenda Smiley (Leroy) of Hudson, KY and Sherry Childress (Charles) of Caneyville, KY
many nieces and nephews

 

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11 AM with Bro. Billy Laslie officiating. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 8 AM.
