Ira O. Jent, 94 of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at the Radcliff Veterans Center in Radcliff, KY. Ira was born June 8, 1923, in West Virginia to the late EL. Hannon and Barbara Smith Jent and husband of the late Margie Combs Jent. He was a United States Army Veteran, member of Old Regular Baptist Church in Hazard, Kentucky and a retired bottle maker in a glass factory. Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one son John Jent and three brothers and one sister.

Ira O. Jent is survived by two sons George (Joyce) Jent of New Albany, Indiana and Don (Vicky) Jent of Scottsburg, Indiana; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday, February 2, 2018, at 1:00 pm with Bro. Brent Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery where military rights will be presented by the AM Vets Post #117. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
