Howard L. Belcher, 89 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center in Morgantown. Mr. Belcher was born January 31, 1924 in Butler County, to the late Oscar V. and Mattie L. Pierson Belcher. He was a member of the Elks Club #206 in Henderson, Ky. for 42 years, a WWII United States Army Veteran , and a bartender for 25 years. Howard loved to garden, farm and rabbit hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife Ella M. Belcher, sisters Evelyn Basham, Ruby Jackson, Laura Phelps, Erma Carpenter and Cesna Belcher; brothers Emerson Belcher, Leslie Belcher, Dick Belcher and Elgin Belcher.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Alvin Jones officiating . Burial will follow in the London-Tyree Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
