Herold J. Harrison

Herold J.Harrison,87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his residence.  He was a Butler County native, son of the late Verner and Varah Harper Harrison, and a member of Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church.  He was retired Oil Field and Rochester Boat Dock worker and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Paul Harrison.

Herold John Harrison is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nell Shelton Harrison. 2 daughters: Patty Glass and husband Lowell of Morgantown and Jill Woodrome of Bowling Green, Ky., 5 Grandchildren: Lori Glass Cardwell and husband Jeffrey and Jonathan Glass and wife Melissa both of Davis Crossroads Community, Deana Jo McKee Tomes and husband Brandon of Morgantown, Ky, Amber Le McKee of Logansport, Ky., and Richelle Mieko Woodrome of Bowling Green, Ky, 6 great-grandchildren: Kaylyn and Kassidy Cardwell, Blake and Jenna Tomes and Lily and Gracyn Glass, sister Stella Harrison Mefford  of Morgantown and several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be held will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel with Bro. Roger Skipworth and Bro. Timmy Burden officiating.  Burial will be in Huntsville Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 2:00 till 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 31, 2011 till funeral time at 1:00pm all at the Jones Funeral Chapel.  You may leave online condolences at www.jonesfuneralchapel.com

Mrs. Harrison, Patty and Jill, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Harrison will be missed by all. He always had a smile on his face and could always make you smile. I have always respected him and his family. They always treat everyone with kindness and love. I'm sure he is now making jokes and making heaven smile. We will see him again one day. My love to all. God be with you through this time.
