Herman Lee Hunt age 91, of Morristown, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN. He was born in Huntsville, KY on May 11, 1932, to the late Karl Hunt and Amy Hammers Hunt. He was retired from Warren Central School System in Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 54 years, Jewel Odle Hunt; Siblings Delbert Hunt, Hugh Hunt, Max Hunt, Thomas Hunt, John Hunt, Florence Huff, Jewell Hunt and Patty Gravil.

Herman is survived by his Sweetheart of many years, Mary Austin of Greenfield, IN; his children, Brenda Donner of New Palestine, IN, Janet Hallgarth (husband Bob) of Fountaintown,IN, Barry Hunt of Greenfield, IN, Gina Tyner (husband Dean) of Morristown, and Karl Hunt (wife Kim) of Greenfield, IN; Sisters Nora Nell Williams of Auburn, KY and Gwen Mefford of Huntsville, KY. He had 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Blaine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday, June 24 from 10am until time of the funeral at Smith Funeral Home.
