Guy E. Stevens, Jr., 84, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at his home. He was born July 18, 1928 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Guy E. Stevens, Sr. and Jeannetta Francis Stevens. He was retired from E & L Transport as a truck driver. He grew up a member of the Methodist faith and a US Air Force veteran. He enjoyed traveling, dancing, motorcycles and shooting pool.

He is survived by his longtime companion Dorothy Carter, daughters, Guyla (Brad) Wehman, Donna (Lonnie) Maley, stepdaughter, Marsha (Jim) Forshee, stepson, Ricky (Lisa) Ellis, grandchildren, Brian, Greg, Beth, Sarah, Emily, Megan, Richie, Stacey and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday followed by a 12:00 p.m. service with Reverend Caleb Potter officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, Kentucky with burial to follow in the cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, Kentucky 42301. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
