Greg Kirby, 57, of Huntsville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. Greg was born November 19, 1959, in Greenville, KY to the late James Edward and Era Nell Davidson Kirby. Greg was a Master Logger for Gill Logging, enjoyed hunting, fishing, U.K. basketball and spending time with his family. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Jones.
Greg Kirby is survived by his wife, Rosie Kirby, of Huntsville, KY, two daughters; Sierra Rose Kirby, of Huntsville, KY and Kristy Taylor (Neal) of Russellville, KY, one granddaughter, Lily Thompson, of Russellville, KY, four brothers; Michael Kirby (Jean) of Huntsville, KY, Wilbur Kirby, of Dunmor, KY, Bobby Kirby (Annette) of Quality, KY and Roger Kirby (Patsy) of Quality, KY, four sisters; Annetta Cole, of Monroe, LA, Virginia Enlow (C.M.) of Boston, KY, Elizabeth Reynolds (Charlie) of Hillsboro, IN, Donna Russell (Steve) of Wellford, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Monday, March 20, 2017, at 12:00 PM with Mike Livengood officiating.
Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the AMVETS post 117 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, March 20, 2017, from 8:00 AM until funeral time at 12:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
