Gracie Lorene Embry Felty, age 96 of Morgantown, KY passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at  Morgantown Care & Rehab, surrounded by her children. Lorene was born on Saturday, September 4, 1926 in Butler County, KY to the union of the late James Ellis and Sally D. Gary Embry and wife of the late Chelsie E. Felty. Chelsie and Lorene married on December 23, 1946. She was a member Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. Lorene enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and flowers.  Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers Ertest Foy Embry and William Ustus Embry; two sisters Olie Irene Embry Wilson and Bonnie Erdine Embry Renfrow; one grandson Kendall Ray Phelps and one son in law Laymon Ray Phelps.

Gracie Lorene Felty is survived by her children Anita Phelps of Leitchfield, KY, James Darrel Felty wife Dolores of Morgantown, KY, Shelia Lynn Ryle husband Bill of Owensboro, KY and Aaron Dion Felty of Owensboro, KY; grandchildren Melissa Gay Phelps Gary husband Perry of Maineville, Ohio, Dana Felty Bynum Russ of Savannah, Georgia, Ashley Danielle Ryle of Justin State College, Pennsylvania, Jerry Wayne Phelps of Leitchfield, KY; great grandchildren Amber Phelps Stauffer, Andrew Afton, Graham Carter Bynum and John Clavin Bynum; great great grandchildren Alice and Seth Stauffer; one very special niece Venetta Gail Renfrow Robinson and many other nieces,  nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 1:30 pm with Bro. Joseph Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 3, 2022 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Tuesday 10:00am until funeral time at 1:30pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
