Gordon W. Amos

 Gordon W. Amos, 77 of Morgantown, KY passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his residence. Gordon was born February 7, 1943 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Herman and Ethel Shephard Amos and husband of the late Edith Fay Bratcher Amos. He was a United States Army Veteran and member of the 4th District Fire Department. Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, spending time with family and picking on people.  Other than his parents and wife he is preceded in death by one sister Margaret West and four brothers Clarence, Charles, Curtis and Dallas Amos. 

 Gordon W. Amos is survived by four daughters Sandra Geary (Mike) of Caneyville, KY,Susan Decker (Larry Wayne) Morgantown, KY, Stacia Moore (Bert) of Central City, KY and Stephanie Alexander (Silas) of Rochester, KY; one son Gordon Amos Jr of Morgantown, KY; one brother Edward Maurice Amos of Morgantown, KY; 9 grandchildren Trenten and Jessi Moore, Grace and Lydia Decker, Alisa and Courtnei Alexander, Margaret "Maggie" Amos and Tim (Beth) and Heath Geary; two great grandchildren Molly and Corbin Geary and several nieces and nephews. 
 
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 1:00pm with Bro. Larry Cardwell officiating. Burial will be held in the Minton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
