Glenward Erdist Daugherty, 82 of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Morgantown Care and Rehab in Morgantown, Ky. Glen was born March 4, 1930, in Butler County, Ky. to the late Omer and Mae Flener Daugherty. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church and retired bridge building foreman.
Glenward Erdist Daugherty is survived by his wife of 62 years Ruth Deweese Daugherty of Morgantown, Ky.; son Ronald Daugherty (Betty) of Morgantown, Ky.; daughter Sandra Brooks (Allen) of Morgantown, Ky.; grandchildren Jennifer Sublett (Dean Piper), William Givens (Jennifer) and Jeremy Daugherty; great grandchildren Anthony and Kaylee Sublett and Emma and Lucas Givens and step grandchildren Allen Brooks Jr.(Tammy), James Darrell Brooks and Jennifer McCombs(Todd).
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, October 4, 2012, at 2:00pm with Bro. Brian Talley and Bro. Raymond Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Mt Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday from 8:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
