Gertie Belcher Givens Latham, 84, of Quality, Ky., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Butler County, Ky. on May 12, 1934. Gertie was the daughter of the late Rollie Thurston Belcher and Agnes Ann Engler Belcher.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Church. She worked at Emerson Electric and Nelson Company. She loved to watch hummingbirds, her fish, tending her flowers and being outdoors. Gertie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ivan Glendall Givens and Melborn Latham; two sons, Michael Dale Givens and Stanley Glen Givens; two brothers, H.B. Belcher and Don Belcher; and two sisters, Lois Cook and Edna Pearl Belcher.
Gertie is survived by eight children: Sharon Givens of Quality; Linda Adler (Ranny) of Lewisburg; Danny Givens of Quality; Gail Givens of Quality; Brenda Gibson (Gary) of Christiana, Tenn.; Wanda Givens of Adairville; Tina Jones (Jeff) of Adairville; and Shannon Latham of Adairville; 17 Grandchildren; 34 Great grandchildren; a brother, Howard Belcher of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of funeral. Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Parks officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
