Georgia Ann Maxwell Clay Tafarella

Georgia Ann Maxwell Clay Tafarella, 82, of Owensboro, Kentucky died January 2, 2017 at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany, Indiana. She was born January 6, 1934 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Mary Etta and Oda Maxwell. She retired from Seybert Nichols Printing in New York City in 1994 and retired after 9 years with Progress Printing Company. She was also a Senior Companion for Audubon Area Community Services. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church and the Reliable Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Clay on November 23, 1980; second husband, Anthony J. Tafarella on January 27, 2007; and by brothers, Ralph Maxwell and Paul Maxwell.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Trumbo of Indiana; sons, William Clay (Theresa) of Indiana, Steven Clay (Gina) of Nebraska and Anthony Tafarella, Jr. (Angela) of South Carolina; 10 grandchildren; 7-great grandchildren; brothers, Bill Maxwell and John Maxwell (Dorothy).

Services are 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Walnut Memorial Baptist Church, 519 W.
