George William Stuart, 85, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky.  He was born in Utica, Il. on Jan. 7, 1933 to the late George Irwin and Amy Jones Stuart.   He worked for the State of Kentucky, was an Army Veteran, a member of Morgantown First Baptist Church and enjoyed making guns.  He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Janis Pendley Stuart; sisters Gwen Zimmerman and Elaine Mattingly; great granddaughter Reagan Lee Meredith.
George is survived by his daughter Kelly Stuart; grandson Stuart Meredith (Alicia); great grandchildren Matthew and Kellon Meredith; step great grandchildren Natalie, Brianna and Lacie; step great great grandson Asher Cardwell all of Morgantown; sister Daphyne Holdcraft of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 2 pm on Sunday, June 10 at Smith Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9 from 4-8 pm and Sunday from 10 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home Morgantown, Ky.
