George Ed Cannon, 87 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Greenwood Nursing & Rehab Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Mr. Cannon was born September 23, 1925 in Butler County, Ky. to the late Vernie and Emma Cannon. He was a sawmill worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Donnie Ammons Cannon, one brother Harvey Cannon, three sisters Golda, Irene and Anthylene.

George Ed Cannon is survived by his wife Clora Cannon of Morgantown, son Bobby Cannon, daughter Joyce Cannon, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Jim McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Wade Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
