Geniva Johnson, 84 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her residence. Geniva was born October 9, 1930 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late Charlie Fields and Ethel Mae Wolfe Wells and wife of the late William Everett Johnson. She was a member of Temple Hill General Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Roger Johnson and several brothers and sisters.
Geniva Johnson is survived by one daughter Frances Childers and husband Chelsy of Morgantown, Ky.; two grandsons Dennis Childers of Morgantown, Ky. and Luke Childers and wife Jennifer of Morgantown, Ky;3 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; six sisters Betty Baxter and husband James of Louisville, Ky., Elizabeth Wingfield and husband Ken of Greenville, Ky.,Mildred Cardwell and husband Chester of Morgantown, Ky., Judy Ansberry and husband Mike of Morgantown, Ky., Effie Jo Johnson of Bowling Green, Ky. and Alice Lockheart of Bowling Green, Ky.; two brothers Ronnie and Ricky Wells of Richardsville, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00am with Bro. Scott Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 from 1:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
