Geneva Tomlinson

Geneva Tomlinson, 95, of Caneyville, passed away Friday, February 26th, 2016 at U of L Hospital. 

She was born on Sunday, September 26th, 1920 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Owen and Pallie (Gross) Wilson. She was a member of the Caney Creek Baptist Church. Geneva first worked at Mingles in Louisville. She worked for General Electric for over 25 years and retired from them in 1980. After retiring, she raised cattle and loved all of her animals.

She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, Charles Tomlinson of Caneyville; nephew, Lester Wilson also of Caneyville; two nieces, Bonnie O’Connor of TN and Anita Wilson of Russellville; two great-nephews, James Lee Kiper (Dean) of Caneyville and Charles Kiper (Christina) of Louisville; great-niece, Teresa Cox (Derrik) of Louisville and great-great-nephew, JJ Kiper (Kayla) of Morgantown. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Vera Wilson, Lucy DuShane and Eva Wilson.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 29th at 11:00 am at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Joe Williams will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Caney Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 11:00 am and Monday from 9:00 am until time of service.
