Gene DeWitt Boaz, 60 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Medical Center Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Mr. Boaz was born August 22, 1952 in Warren County, to Holland E. Boaz and Polly Ann Warren Boaz who both survive. Mr. Boaz was a Certified Public Accountant, Member of the American Institute Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Omicron Delta Kappa. Gene loved working in his flower beds, gardening and landscaping around his home. Gene, Peggy & Bradley loved sharing the beauty of their home with family and friends.

Gene Boaz is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Bradley Boaz of Morgantown;one son: Bradley Boaz of Morgantown, Ky; parents: Holland & Polly Boaz of Appomattox, Va., one sister: Zona Major of Appomattox, VA; one brother: Richard Boaz and wife Lisa of Irmo, South Carolina; brother in-law: Jerry Bradley and wife Pam of Hartford, KY; 10 nieces and nephews, and Godson, Phillip Dixon of Robards, Ky.      

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Friday, June 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., with Bro. Randall Deweese officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Ohio County. Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
