Gaylen V. Givens, 75, of Morgantown, Ky. passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Morgantown Care and Rehab Center. He was born in Butler Co., Ky. on July 6, 1946 to the late Clyde and Gladean McCoy Givens. He was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. Gaylen enjoyed fishing and going to the dirt track races. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sisters Evon Childers of Bowling Green and Lynn Keown (Dean) of Morgantown; nieces Tasha Borden (Ricky) of Bowling Green and Kelli Phelps (Jim) of Morgantown; nephews Eric Childers (Melanie) of Georgetown, Ky. and Josh Keown (Tyann) of Louisville, Ky.; great nieces Keeli Sims and Reaganne Childers; great nephews Aaron Childers (Rachel), Taylor Sims, Dane Childers, Seth Phelps (Sheena), Tad Phelps (Stacy) and Henry Keown; several great-great nieces and nephews; aunts Carolyn Givens (Roger), Oma Crawford, Mardell Givens and uncle Desper McCoy.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Cain officiating. Burial will be held in the Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 27 from 10 am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home.
