Gary Jenkins

Gary L. Jenkins of Morgantown, Ky. was born on March 13, 1942 in Gilstrap, Kentucky . He married his beloved wife Carole F. (Matlock) on May 26, 1995. Gary unexpectedly passed at his home on February 12, 2017. He is preceded in death by his father Lee Jenkins and his son Scott Jenkins. He is survived by his mother Carmen Richardson, his brothers Jarald (Beulah) Jenkins and Truman (Judy) Jenkins, his wife Carole (Matlock) Jenkins, his children Timothy D. (Becky) Jenkins, Cynthia (Matt) Dieter, Timothy W. (Tracy), his beloved grandchildren Austin, Aspen & Aidan Hubbard, Hailey & Evan Dieter. He had one great grandson Carter Hubbard.
Gary graduated from Butler County High School. He then joined the United States Air Force after his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Kentucky where he earned an Associate in Applied Science. He then went to Mercy-Providence School of Anesthesia in Springfield, Massachusetts. He served as a deputy coroner for both Campbell and Butler Counties in Kentucky. He is co-owner of Excel Anesthesia and Excel Professional Billing in Beaver Dam Kentucky. He was a former President, board member, and secretary treasurer of the KY AANA. He was a member of the Robert M. Sirkle #954 Masonic Lodge in Lexington Kentucky, United States Air Force Veteran and Kentucky Colonel.
Gary was the proud recipient of the Ira P. Gunn Award for professional advocacy from the AANA.
 His life will be celebrated beginning Wednesday February 15, 2017 at the Jones Funeral Chapel 927 W. G L Smith St Morgantown, Ky. 42261 from 1:00pm - 8:00pm. Masonic rights will be conducted by Cassia Lodge #272 F&AM Wednesday Feb. 15, 2017 at 7:00pm. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 16, 2017 at the Aberdeen Baptist Church 186 Leonard Oak Rd. Morgantown, Ky. 42261 from 9:00am until service time at 2:00pm. Military rights will be presented by AM Vets Post #117. The family ask that in Lieu of flowers all donations be made to Aberdeen Baptist for the Crossing Camp Fund.
