Frederick Brent Cardwell, age 48 of Roundhill, KY, known affectionately as Brent to his friends and family, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Roundhill, Kentucky. Born on July 12, 1977, in Butler County, KY.

Brent was preceded in death by his grandparents, Weldon Cardwell, George Ertest Shain, and Zelphia Woosley Shain. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving parents, Freddie and Connie Shain Cardwell of Roundhill, KY; his brother, Christopher Louis Cardwell, also of Roundhill, KY; his grandmother, Nivita Cardwell of Roundhill, KY; his nephews, Christopher Ethan Cardwell of Roundhill, KY, and Braydon Wyatt Cardwell of Leitchfield, KY; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Brent had a passion for old cars; it was a way of connecting with the past and bringing joy to the present. He had great knowledge of automobiles was not just technical but historical, and he loved sharing this with anyone who showed interest. Those who knew Brent will remember him as a man of great character. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 12:00pm with Bro. Tony Embry officiating. Burial will in the Threlkel Cemetery where Ethan Cardwell, Christopher Cardwell, Velzie Sanlin, James Cardwell, Bobby Gene Johnson and Terrin Costello will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
