Forest Mervin White Sr

Forest Mervin White Sr. 86 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Forest was born on Thursday, September 12, 1929, in Butler County Kentucky to the late Adelbert and Eva Goodall White. He was a member of New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where he served as deacon and song leader for many years. A United States Army Veteran, Kentucky Colonel and he retired from the Standard Oil Company. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by one son Forest Mervin White Jr., one grandson Adam Shane White, two brothers Freeman and Durb White and one sister Beulena White.
Forest Mervin White Sr. is survived by his wife Joyce Snodgrass White of Morgantown, Ky.; two daughters Caroline Richards and husband Carl of Morgantown, Ky. and Beverly Williams of Morgantown, Ky.; one son Matthew White of Morgantown, Ky.; five granddaughters Tawnya Coy of Bowling Green, Ky., Misty Spinks of Leesburg, Fl, Shawna White of Leesburg, Fl, Ashley Joiner of TN and Korissa Perry of Morgantown, Ky.; three grandsons Jeremy Flener of Cromwell, Ky., Forest White of Morgantown, Ky. and Evan Webster of Morgantown, Ky.; several great grandchildren; one brother Lyndell White of Oklahoma; two sisters Mildred Muizers of Washington and Voneda Johnson of Morgantown, Ky. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27,2016, at 12:00pm at the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Hines officiating.
Burial will be in the New Liberty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel and Wednesday from 9:00am until funeral time at 12:00pm at the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
