Fordia Mae Dunn, age 74 of Morgantown, KY, passed away at her residence, on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Born on April 23, 1951, in Jetson, KY, Fordia's life was a testament to love, laughter, and creativity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Opal Jerline Lindsey Adkins; her brothers, James William, Hershel, Tommy, William Alvey, and Donald Ray Adkins; and her sisters, Vadie June Adkins and Vida Mae Dodson. Her memory will be forever cherished by her devoted husband of 59 years, Larry Dunn of Morgantown, KY, whom she married on June 30, 1966. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences.

She is also survived by her son, Wendell Dunn (Stephanie), and her granddaughter, Olivia Dunn, both of Morgantown, KY. Fordia's joy multiplied with the arrival of her two great-grandchildren, Jase and Willow, who brought her immeasurable happiness. Her siblings, Martha Dunn, Lottie Dunn (Joe), and Johnny Adkins, all of Morgantown, KY.

She was a member of the Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and contributed her skills and time to various local businesses, including Kanes Sewing Factory, Kellwood Sewing Factory, and Fruit of the Loom Factory. Her role in the Butler County School Systems as a cook allowed her to touch the lives of many children. Fordia was a homemaker, taking great pleasure in crafts, fishing, camping, and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her pets were a source of joy and companionship, and she loved them dearly.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:00pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Burial will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 4:00pm -7:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
