Faye Sorrels

Faye Sorrels, 68 of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Ky. Faye was born January 28, 1944, in Butler County, Ky. to the late Opal and Eva White Dockery. She was a homemaker and was of the baptist faith. She was preceded in death by one brother Helbert Dockery and one brother in- law Houston Pharris.

Faye Sorrels is survived by her husband J.W. Sorrels of Morgantown, Ky.; daughter Sheila Shields and husband Joe of Morgantown, Ky; son Don Sorrels and wife Mindy of Glasgow, Ky.; daughter Diane Byrd of Hammond, Indiana; daughter Cindy Fenik and husband Chris of Hobart, Indiana; son Steve Sorrels of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandchildren; Hillary Wooldridge of Morgantown, Ky., Matt Burden of White House, TN, Hunter Shields of Beaver Dam, Ky., Daniel Shepherd and wife Allison of Glasgow, Ky., Ryan Shepherd of Glasgow, Ky., Derrek Shepherd and wife Crystal of Glasgow, Ky.,  Devin Sorrels of Glasgow, Ky., Alec Sorrels of Glasgow, Ky., Brian Fleming of Milwaukee, WI, Ryan Zoliner of Hammond, Indiana, Kyle Byrd of Hammond, Indiana, Angela Franklin of Fort Worth, TX, and Jennifer Sorrels of Hammond,Indiana.; sisters Neva Pharris of Morgantown, Ky., Veneda Burden and husband Frank of Morgantown, Ky., Inis Swift and husband Buddy of Morgantown, Ky., and Edith Fields and husband Clifford of Louisville, Ky.; brothers Albert Dockery and wife Margie of Morgantown, Ky., Everett Dockery and wife Cora of Hartford, Ky., Delbert Dockery and wife Glenda of Horse Branch, Ky., Curtis Dockery of Morgantown, Ky., Harlen Dockery and wife Callie of Morgantown, Ky. and Carlton Dockery and wife Mary of Morgantown, Ky; sister in- law Stella Dockery of Beaver Dam, Ky.;  8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 11:00 am with Bro. Buddy Swift and Bro. Delbert Dockery officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 8:00 am until funeral time at 11:00 am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
